IRVING, Texas —The American Conference and LLH Healthcare today announced their expanded partnership that will continue LLH’s relationship with the conference through the 2026 American Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships, March 10-15 at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama.

The expanded partnership builds on LLH Healthcare’s role as title partner of the 2025 American Football Championship, and reflects the growing relationship between the two organizations across the American’s championship platforms. As part of the 2026 American Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships, the conference and LLH will spotlight a shared commitment to community impact by integrating support for Children’s of Alabama (Children’s). Children’s is the only health system in Alabama dedicated solely to the care and treatment of children. It is a private, not-for-profit medical center that serves as the teaching hospital for the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) pediatric medicine, surgery, psychiatry, research and residency programs.

“Service is a pillar of the American Conference, and we are proud to continue growing our partnership with LLH Healthcare in a way that creates meaningful impact beyond our basketball tournament,” Commissioner Tim Pernetti said. “This relationship is special because of alignment. LLH Healthcare and the American are committed to using our championship week as a platform to serve others. The integration of Children’s of Alabama throughout the tournament is a blueprint for an innovative relationship designed to serve others in the Birmingham community.”

Throughout the week, the American and LLH will work together to support Children’s through a series of coordinated activations tied to the championships. That effort began on Monday, March 9, with a hospital visit featuring student-athletes participating in the men’s and women’s basketball championships, along with conference and company representatives. The support will continue on Tuesday, March 10, at the tournament Tip-Off Dinner presented by LLH Healthcare, where a silent auction will help generate additional funds and awareness. The weeklong initiative will culminate on Saturday, March 14, with an on-court check presentation during the championships in recognition of a $10,000 donation and proceeds raised during tournament events.

“We’re honored to partner with the American Conference and the Birmingham community to support the incredible work being done at Children’s of Alabama,” said Zach Rogers, CEO of LLH Healthcare. “Events like the American Conference Championships bring people together, and we’re proud to use this moment to help make a difference for children and families who rely on this hospital every day.”

The partnership was executed through American RISE Ventures, the conference’s commercial business division launched in May 2025 to lead revenue generation, sponsorship strategy, media rights, brand partnerships, technology and emerging business opportunities. In its first 10 months, RISE has helped more than double the conference’s revenue from the previous year, establishing strong momentum as the American continues to build a more modern and diversified commercial strategy. The continued expansion of the conference’s relationship with LLH Healthcare across football and basketball is another example of the type of strategic partnership RISE was created to deliver.

“This partnership reflects the kind of work RISE was built to do,” said Bryan Calka, chief commercial officer of American RISE Ventures. “LLH has become a valued partner because this relationship goes beyond traditional visibility. It connects business goals, championship platforms and community impact in a way that benefits our member institutions, our student-athletes and the city hosting our tournament. Expanding this relationship while also incorporating meaningful support for Children’s of Alabama makes this especially significant.”

Children’s will also be recognized throughout the championships through videoboard and ribbonboard features, an in-game donation prompt and the on-court presentation during championship week.

Partnership Highlights

  • Continued partnership: LLH Healthcare expands its relationship with the American after serving as title partner of the 2025 American Football Championship.
  • Official designation: LLH Healthcare will serve as the official and exclusive employee benefits partner of the American Conference.
  • Children’s of Alabama integration: Tournament week support will include a Monday, March 9, hospital visit, Tuesday, March 10, Tip-Off Dinner activation and a Saturday on-court check presentation tied to a $10,000 donation and silent auction proceeds.
  • Tournament visibility: LLH will receive courtside LED signage, ribbonboard signage, LED stanchion signage and videoboard features throughout the championships.
  • Broadcast integration: Tournament activations will include Basketball Shuffle presented by LLH, instant replay wipes and an ESPN+ first-half highlights feature presented by LLH.

IRVING, Texas (Nov. 18, 2025) — American Conference and LLH Healthcare (LLH) today announced LLH as the Title Partner of the 2025 American Football Championship, set for December 5, 2025, on ABC and hosted by the No. 1 seed team at their home stadium.

The partnership highlights the American’s strategy to expand its commercial growth through innovative brand collaborations that deliver added revenue streams, national exposure, and enhanced experiences for student-athletes and fans. By aligning with LLH, a national leader in healthcare and benefits innovation, the conference continues to strengthen its member institutions and brand within the evolving collegiate landscape.

“We are proud to welcome LLH Healthcare to the American Conference family as a key partner in the continued growth of our league,” stated Commissioner Tim Pernetti. “Their commitment to health, education, and especially innovation, consistent with the American brand, creates new and exciting opportunities and resources for all our student-athletes and member institutions.”

LLH Healthcare combines proven technology, compliant plan design, and expert education to deliver the most effective employee healthcare solutions on the market. The company is working with universities nationwide to advance innovative employee benefit programs that create NIL impact, strengthen athletic programs, and make healthcare more inclusive and financially smart.

“We’re honored to partner with the American Conference on a championship that celebrates excellence on and off the field,” said Zachary Rogers, CEO of LLH Healthcare. “LLH was built on the idea that smarter, more inclusive healthcare should empower people to perform at their best—whether in the workplace or on the playing field. Through this partnership and our Athletes for Hope initiative, we’re proud to turn each moment of success into lasting opportunities for student-athletes and employers in their communities.”

The agreement was executed through American RISE Ventures (Revenue, Innovation, Sports, Entertainment), the conference’s business and innovation division, launched by Commissioner Pernetti to drive revenue generation, sponsorship strategy, media rights, brand partnerships, technology, and emerging ventures. Led by Chief Commercial Officer Bryan Calka, a veteran sports executive with nearly 25 years of experience across professional and collegiate sports, RISE is redefining how conferences leverage commercial strategy to create value for member institutions and partners alike.

“Our partnership with LLH showcases the future of how the American approaches brand alignment,” Calka said. “Together, we’re building relationships that drive impact and creative partnerships for our schools and student-athletes rooted in performance and purpose. This is what RISE was designed to do.”

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB Department of Athletics and Blazer Sports Properties have announced a new Premier Partnership with LLH Healthcare to increase visibility for UAB Athletics and enhance UAB’s NIL initiatives.

A Birmingham-based company, the mission of LLH is to eliminate the trade-off between affordability and coverage by providing accessible, cost-free healthcare benefits to employees, helping employers improve profitability while increasing employee health and productivity. They offer a supplemental, preventative health management plan that includes telemedicine, screening, testing, and wellness coaching through a compliant, user-friendly package.

UAB is now the fifth school LLH has partnered with, including Auburn, Alabama, Memphis and Temple.

“We’re honored to partner with UAB, an institution that leads the way in both academics and athletics,” said Zach Rogers, CEO of LLH Healthcare. “As a Birmingham-based company, this partnership means even more—we’re investing directly into our shared community. Our mission is simple: to help employers take better care of the people who take care of everything else. Bringing first-day, no-cost access to quality care to the UAB community is something we’re incredibly proud of, and we’re excited for what this partnership will unlock for Blazer employees and their families.”

The six-year deal includes having the LLH logo at the 50-yard line of Protective Stadium, along with its logo on the bottom of the Bartow Arena midcourt scoreboard, LED signage, game sponsorships, radio spots, Fan 365 Digital Advertising and NIL activation for Blazer student-athletes.

“It’s a thrill to work with a Birmingham based company that is making a major investment in Collegiate Athletics,” said Greg Wheeler, General Manager of Blazer Sports Properties. “This new multi-year Partnership with LLH Healthcare is an important one for Blazer Sports Properties and UAB Athletics.  We are excited to have them on board as a Premier Partner and look forward to building a strong relationship in the future.”

The LLH Healthcare logo will debut this Saturday at Protective Stadium against North Texas.
